We’ve just released Logaholic Web Analytics 2.7. This version includes some cool new features and has many small improvements and bug-fixes.

New Features

  • An interactive Heat Map of the world visualizes where most of your visitors are from geographically. You can zoom in on continents and even on specific countries to see which cities your visitors hail from!
  • We’ve added a new report called Traffic Breakdown. This simple report gives you quick breakdown of your traffic and shows you the percentage of visitors that reach your site via Search Engines, via Referring Sites or as Direct Traffic (bookmarks, typed in domain name).
  • A new Email Alerts system allows you to send Logaholic Web Analytics reports to any email address on a regular, automated basis. Email alerts can be sent to any email address, even if they do not normally have access to your Logaholic software. A simple HTML email is sent that provides them with the web statistics report of your choice.
  • We’ve added a new Italian translation to the software. We would like to thank our good friend Andrea Sirri from Studio Leonardo for all the work he did in making this translation. We owe you one Andrea!
  • To get make even more translations available, we’ve created a Translation Tool that makes it easy for anyone to contribute suggestions and improvements to our language files. To get you started, we’ve added machine translations for Spanish, French and Portuguese.
  • Reports can now be exported to XML format. It was already possible to export most reports to spreadsheet friendly CSV format, but now we’ve also added support for XML. This means you can integrate Logaholic data dynamically into any application or system that takes XML input.
  • For Logaholic systems with lots of profiles, we’ve improved various useful maintenance scripts such as updating all profiles at once, last updated status report, delete range from database script and a windows to linux migration script.

Other minor issues we’ve addressed in this release are:

  • Fixed a bug when renaming profiles
  • Fixed bug that so now mysql tablename is shown correctly in editprofile.php
  • Fixed bug so city names with special characters now display correctly
  • Fixed bug so current report is not shown in workspace
  • Fixed bug to chart selection on dashboard now sticks
  • Fixed deprecated warning in error_reporting
  • Changed language selection from profile based to cookie based

We’ve just published a new release that fixes a number of issues when using the PHP Split Test features in Logaholic Self Hosted Editions.

In addition, we fixed a mysterious error that was causing problems using MaxMind’s Geo IP database in the event the MaxMind API is also installed as an Apache Module.

If you are effected by any of these issues, please upgrade your Logaholic to version 2.6.5.

Logaholic Web Analytics has just been updated to version 2.6.4.

What’s new ?

Many people have asked us for a report that would summarize the key statistics of all your website profiles in one screen. We made this “Global Statistics Overview” available a few versions back, but only for the system as a whole and only for the “admin” user level.

Now, we’ve also made it available to regular logaholic user accounts. Basically any logged in user can get a quick overview comparison of all the profiles they have access to.

What’s fixed ?

Ah yes, more bug fixes: now the A/B Split test features will work properly again :}

Thanks!

Hi!

We’ve just updated the release on our site to version 2.6.3.

This version fixes a number of bugs found in earlier 2.6 versions:

  • Deleting IP’s or files from the database now works as it should with all PHP settings
  • Top countries and city reports can now be properly exported
  • Segmentation filters are now properly applied to reports when exporting in CSV format.
  • Improved default timezone handling to avoid warnings

If you find any more bugs, please let us know – we love fixing them 🙂

We’ve just released a new version especially for customers in Germany which complies with German Privacy laws as we understand them to be.

German Law requires that web site visitors must not be recognizable individually by marketing tools (including web analytics tools). Courts have ruled that IP addresses can possibly be used for this purpose and must therefore be ‘hidden’ from the user. That means that IP numbers must be at least shortened, encoded or hidden completely.

Although we understand the debate in Germany regarding this issue is still open, we have chosen to encrypt the IP address on all levels in Logaholic, so the original number cannot be display to or retrieved by the Logaholic web analytics user. So, the original IP number is no longer stored in any permanent Logaholic database tables.

You can download this special Logaholic version for Germany here:
