We’ve just updated the software on our site to version 2.7.3.

This version fixes a serious bug that is present in Logaholic 2.6.x versions as well as Logaholic 2.7, 2.7.1 and 2.7.2, for people with more than one profile.

These versions can report incorrect Visit counts, which are too low. Other metrics, like Unique Visitors, are correct though.

We recommend all users to upgrade to our latest version to fix this bug. Customers, please log in to your account to download the most recent version.

We’ve just updated the software to version 2.7.2. This release fixes a number of minor bugs and has a number of speed improvements when importing log files into the database.

If you have small log files, you probably won’t notice much difference, but if you have a huge database, this version should provide a substantial speed increase and make updating up to 50% faster and more memory efficient (so less stress on your system).

For Service Provider Editions (SPE) this version also includes a brand new integration API that makes it easier to tie Logaholic user and profile management tasks into your existing back-end systems. Please read the API Documentation For Service Provider Editions for more information.

This version also changes the way Google referrers are handled. Only the query string parameters from Google that you are interested are now included in the statistics. This saves a lot database space which makes the system faster. Check out the “Google Parameters” settings on the Data Collection tab when you edit your profile.

Happy Analyzing!

We’ve just released Logaholic Web Analytics 2.7. This version includes some cool new features and has many small improvements and bug-fixes.

New Features

  • An interactive Heat Map of the world visualizes where most of your visitors are from geographically. You can zoom in on continents and even on specific countries to see which cities your visitors hail from!
  • We’ve added a new report called Traffic Breakdown. This simple report gives you quick breakdown of your traffic and shows you the percentage of visitors that reach your site via Search Engines, via Referring Sites or as Direct Traffic (bookmarks, typed in domain name).
  • A new Email Alerts system allows you to send Logaholic Web Analytics reports to any email address on a regular, automated basis. Email alerts can be sent to any email address, even if they do not normally have access to your Logaholic software. A simple HTML email is sent that provides them with the web statistics report of your choice.
  • We’ve added a new Italian translation to the software. We would like to thank our good friend Andrea Sirri from Studio Leonardo for all the work he did in making this translation. We owe you one Andrea!
  • To get make even more translations available, we’ve created a Translation Tool that makes it easy for anyone to contribute suggestions and improvements to our language files. To get you started, we’ve added machine translations for Spanish, French and Portuguese.
  • Reports can now be exported to XML format. It was already possible to export most reports to spreadsheet friendly CSV format, but now we’ve also added support for XML. This means you can integrate Logaholic data dynamically into any application or system that takes XML input.
  • For Logaholic systems with lots of profiles, we’ve improved various useful maintenance scripts such as updating all profiles at once, last updated status report, delete range from database script and a windows to linux migration script.

Other minor issues we’ve addressed in this release are:

  • Fixed a bug when renaming profiles
  • Fixed bug that so now mysql tablename is shown correctly in editprofile.php
  • Fixed bug so city names with special characters now display correctly
  • Fixed bug so current report is not shown in workspace
  • Fixed bug to chart selection on dashboard now sticks
