We’ve just updated the Logaholic web analytics software to version 2.7.6. This update makes it easier to put the system in ‘IP encoding’ mode which increases the compliance of Logaholic with German privacy laws. When enabled, Logaholic no longer stores or displays IP addresses in unencoded form.

To use IP encoding, simply go to the Global Settings page of your Logaholic installlation and click the ‘Enable IP Encoding’ link.

Another improvement in this release includes a feature that allows you to update geographic information of visitors. This means that if you update your Maxmind.com Geo IP database (which may provide more accurate Country information), you can also update traffic in Logaholic that was already analyzed previously.

To use this feature, just go to the Database Maintenance page for any profile and click the ‘Update Country Information’ link.
